BBC Merlin Season 3 news. Merlin Season 3 release date and episodes.
It was just announced on the Paul O’Grady show that there will be a season 3 of Merlin. However, no official premiere date has been released.
If a 3rd season is commissioned on the same basis as the previous two, it would be broadcast in the UK from September to December 2010. However, the filming schedule has been arduous for the lead cast members, with 12-hour days for 8 months of the year, and longer for many members of the productions team and crew. Given this, there may be a change in format and/or scheduling for any subsequent series. The BBC may also be keen to recoup its considerable investment thus far in Merlin by making the franchise pay for itself in future and therefore be in a format best suited to its overseas broadcasting customers.
Merlin Season 2 finale: The Last Dragonlord
The Great Dragon has been set free and fully enraged turns his violent hatred towards Camelot without pity.
The castle is crumbling down and Arthur and his men realize they won't be able to hold out for much longer. The only way to defeat the Dragon appears to be a Dragonlord, but Uther wiped them all out of the kingdom years ago. However, Gaius admits that there might be one of them alive and hiding.
The last Dragonlord becomes not only the only hope of future for Camelot but also a key to Merlin's own past. Will Arthur and Merlin manage to find Balinor in time to save the kingdom and persuade him to return to Camelot to save his enemy, Uther?

i`m a fan of merlin the series.can't wait for season3 to be on air.arwen character is the best.
Also Merlin is a great T.V. Series, its about time the uk industry done some decent programs. I hope this series will be an example for others to come :)
