Merlin Season 3

BBC Merlin Season 3 news. Merlin Season 3 release date and episodes.

It was just announced on the Paul O’Grady show that there will be a season 3 of Merlin. However, no official premiere date has been released.

If a 3rd season is commissioned on the same basis as the previous two, it would be broadcast in the UK from September to December 2010. However, the filming schedule has been arduous for the lead cast members, with 12-hour days for 8 months of the year, and longer for many members of the productions team and crew. Given this, there may be a change in format and/or scheduling for any subsequent series. The BBC may also be keen to recoup its considerable investment thus far in Merlin by making the franchise pay for itself in future and therefore be in a format best suited to its overseas broadcasting customers.

Merlin Season 2 finale: The Last Dragonlord

The Great Dragon has been set free and fully enraged turns his violent hatred towards Camelot without pity.

The castle is crumbling down and Arthur and his men realize they won't be able to hold out for much longer. The only way to defeat the Dragon appears to be a Dragonlord, but Uther wiped them all out of the kingdom years ago. However, Gaius admits that there might be one of them alive and hiding.

The last Dragonlord becomes not only the only hope of future for Camelot but also a key to Merlin's own past. Will Arthur and Merlin manage to find Balinor in time to save the kingdom and persuade him to return to Camelot to save his enemy, Uther?

good morning all merlin fan hope you all are enjoying merlin? merlin is one of my favourite move, i love it because it inspires me alot. it is a kind of movie that i dont mind watching it over and over again, i am so desperate in watching season 3 i cant wait to watch it. ve been asking my self this question? will freye come back for merlin? because before she died she promised merlin that she will visit him one day. :eek:

I'm delighted that this show, 'Merlin' will continue for a third season! I'm grateful that the cast is multi-generational and multi-cultural, which makes it a reflection of reality. I appreciate the romantic story-lines being portrayed without nudity and sex. I, too, love this Arthur and this Guinevere as a couple. Additionally, I appreciate that the commercialls that air between the 'Merlin' scenes are family-friendly now, as well. I've viewed all of season one and season two and I'm really looking forward to season three with high expectations for the same or even better quality programming we've experienced with 'Merlin' so far, in seasons 1 and 2. It's truly a show for all generations; I'm a fan in my 40s and I'd feel comfortable watching it with my parents and my nieces.

Merlin is definately on of my favorite shows. Always look forward to watching! It's the highlight of our week! My hubby and I are in our 50's so it's not just for the young and we too are proud that we can watch with our grandkids without worry as well! Can't wait till next season! Love Merlin...awesome, awesome series and I hope it never ends!!!

Merlin is awesome! I have (2) boys ages 12 & 10 and it is so hard finding something these days that we all can sit down as a family and watch! Merlin is such a fun and exciting family friendly show. I love the fact that the plot lines keep adults and children rivoted, there is no blood and gore (but plenty of action), virtually little (if any) cursing, characters who are racially diverse, and love and romance without nudity and sex. Season 3 can't get here fast enough for us :lol:

I can't wait for Merlin season 3! I'm hoping that Aurthur will find out about Merlin's power! The whole time I"m watching the show, I keep waiting for that. Plus, Arthur and Gwen! I love them as a couple.

One of the best TV series I love so far..there will be more characters/allies come out before he becomes a great magician..also, the old characters will be back to assit him to defeat his enemies...longing to see for the new series this year... :lol:

Freya did'nt die, she was injured and escaped, I think she will return in the 3rd season.
Also Merlin is a great T.V. Series, its about time the uk industry done some decent programs. I hope this series will be an example for others to come :)
