Alien prequel news. Alien prequel release date. Ridley Scott is to return to the Alien franchise he launched in 1979, taking the director's chair for a prequel.
Alien Prequel Plot
The new Alien movie will be set before the events of Scott's 1979 film, in which the crew of a commercial towing ship respond to a distress signal from the empty ship, only to discover too late that the signal was meant to warn them.
Ridley Scott about Alien prequel:
"I never thought I'd look forward to a sequel." "But a prequel is kind of interesting. I'm looking forward to doing that."
Ridley Scott is currently filming a new Robin Hood with Russell Crowe and Blanchett.
