The Sanctuary is a place of refuge for various kinds of creatures and beings with superpowers and other stunning abilities.

Amanda Tapping will be playing a 157 year old doctor named Dr. Helen Magnus who was engaged to Jack the Ripper of all people. They have a daughter together.   

Sanctuary story:

Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping), seeks out monsters created by the "darker side" of human evolution. Joining Magnus in her mission is her protoge Will Zimmerman (Dunne) and her daughter Ashley (Ullerup). Also in the cast is Christopher Heyerdahl as John Druitt.

The first eight webisodes of Sanctuary, which last around two hours in total, were shot entirely on green screen sets at Bridge Studios in Vancouver, Canada.
