Stargate Atlantis cancelled by SCI FI Channel. Season 5 is the last season of Stargate Atlantis. The last episode Enemy At the Gate will be the 100th and final episode of the series, and will air in January. The spin-off series will conclude in January with the current, fifth season, and will be followed with an Atlantis movie.
"We're excited to tell Atlantis stories on a bigger canvas," series creators Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper said.
"The successes of the two original Stargate DTV movies The Ark of Truth and Continuum have shown us the opportunities that the movie format offers.
We have plans for both SG-1 and Atlantis to remain vital as we expand the franchise."
This is a terrible news for all Stargate Atlantis fans..

Wow these Stargate shows are the most amazing shows I have ever watched. I love them! Why are they not more popular? Why was there not more advertising. There should be movies in cinema by now. If more people knew about this i'm sure it would be much bigger and the shows would probley still be running and not canceled.

I have all of the Stargate SG1 on DVD but want to know at what point do I watch the movies and Stargate Atlantas??
There seems to be some overlap and I can't find anything on the net to tell me exactly what order I should watch everything in to keep the story running smothly

1st it makes no sense
2nd they should continue the story
3rd they would make more money countinueing stargate atlantis not making a movie and other stories
4th they are makeing a new storie , if they really want to
then atleast make it continue with the same characters
example Atlantis was taken over or destroyed or something im just making examples

FFS, all shows will have up and down seasons...Just cause you think it was Sh#t....doesn't make it so......Personaly i loved B5...but i love SGA just as much.

I loved Stargate SG-1 from the beginning because original plot, various planets and funny moments with RDA and Sam Carter. It was awesome but authors lost point later. I am sorry for that.
I love Sci Fi and will watch crap sci fi before most other TV programs but I grind my teeth at the rubbish these story writers and producers try and pass off episodes. 40 minutes of my life wasted.
You want to know if you are watching a good episode versus a watse of space. Just miss the episode and watch the next. Do you have trouble picking up the plot??
Try missing an episide of Babylon 5 in either season 3 or 4 and you really have missed out on plot developement and story line.

I don't think I can bare the thought of taking this amazing show off the air! its so amazing. I don't watch much tv but i set aside time every scond I can get to watch this amazing show if they do this I'll go insane! I'm buying all the seasons of this show! (I've also dreamed of one day getting to act in Stargate Atlantis and now those dreams are shot!)
SCi-Fi or any other TV channel that reads these, please DO NOT TAKE OUR SHOW OFF THE AIR! We love to watch season after season and i could do it even after I'm married have kids get a job and get old
