Stargate Atlantis cancelled by SCI FI Channel. Season 5 is the last season of Stargate Atlantis. The last episode Enemy At the Gate will be the 100th and final episode of the series, and will air in January. The spin-off series will conclude in January with the current, fifth season, and will be followed with an Atlantis movie.
"We're excited to tell Atlantis stories on a bigger canvas," series creators Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper said.
"The successes of the two original Stargate DTV movies The Ark of Truth and Continuum have shown us the opportunities that the movie format offers.
We have plans for both SG-1 and Atlantis to remain vital as we expand the franchise."
This is a terrible news for all Stargate Atlantis fans...

watch now ? what ? please tell us ? who must we turn to
now ? where can we get some scy fi now ? Hello !
You are REALY GREAT GUYS ! NOT !
When it comes to NBC, it's best to wait until a show has run it's course then catch all the reruns later in sydnication. At least then you won't stress your life away wondering if/when a great series will be cancelled! Quote
SciFi started out as true science fiction net, now I call it The Horror Channel-with a touch of Grade B reality shows, slice 'n dice pictures and old "scary" tales.
At first, it was amusing, even "old school," as long as I could get SOME real Sci-Fi, but after the millionth time of repeats and no new imagination (aka reality shows, wrestling, etc.), I've given up on the network.
First, Babylon 5, then some Star Trek, then Farscape, then SG-1, now SG1-Atlantis (I missed the movies)and so many more are gone, and all for some more money.
Battlestar Galactica was sex, lies and outer space in high tech.
Sanctuary is nice but just more horror.
The made-for-SciFi TV movies are nice but just more magic and fantasy.
WHERE IS THE SCIENCE FICTION?
The people who will make the real, long-term money will be the ones who bring back this lost art form.
TOO BAD, SciFi Channel. I was one of the die-hard fans defending your channel in a world gone "reality" wild. Quote
