Stargate Atlantis Movie - Stargate: Extinction release date, info and spoilers. Stargate: Extinction is the working title for the Atlantis movie.

Stargate Atlantis Movie Release date

Release date has not been announced but script is complete (May 2009).

Stargate Atlantis Movie will air on Sci Fi Channel and then it will be released on DVD. 

 

Stargate Atlantis Movie Spoilers

Dr. Weir will not appear in the movie.

Movie will not focus on Wraith.

The movie will continue where Stargate Atlantis ended: Enemy at the Gates.

Why do people post on forums if they can't spell for $hit??!! Without a doubt the best part of the franchise was SG-1 and SGA was starting to get quite deep before it got cancelled, but then they go any try to redeem themselves by bringing us SGU? Who do they have thinking this crap up? All fingers crossed for SGA Extinction....Just praying they don't f**k it up

it seems a shame that it was canced in the first place but it would be good if they start up after the movie or if they make a game about it but they start filming in vancover in march 2010 i can't wait but thanks for the info

I kept watching SGU just waiting for some badass alien stuff and all they have ran into is some killer dust crap..!!!! Too much luvy duvy BullS***!! BOOOOO!!! I was just getting into SGA now I have had time to watch all the re-runs, cancelling that show was frickin STUPID!! Come on now syfy whats with that? Tried to watch 2 episodes of SGU and I barely got thru one (had to keep fast forwarding just to get thru the episode). So boring. Stargate creators have ruined this franchise for me.

and since I'm at it, I think Atlantis' Teyla, Sam, and Elizabeth are the first series of women who were portrayed as strong, smart and in the position of leadership, with physical strength, since Voyager's Cap K. Janeway....I expect more from the Sci-Fi channel and SF world to keep strong women in TV programing (unlike the other channels) and they have disappointed me in the cancellation of Atlantis. I'm boycotting SGU.

Canceling Atlantis proves that the TV execs don't know anything about their audiences. Sick of all the lame stuff on TV, and they cancel all the good stuff. Read that SGU will focus on the "human" side, and not have all those characters running around with masks (Wraith)....this has been done already with Voyager etc...we have enough of that from Defiying Gravity and other new programs.....they are recycling old stuff with SGU....its not innovative like Atlantis....I liked it BECAUSE of the people running around with masks (esp Todd)! Dumb ass execs...you guys are idiots.

SGA got cancelled because of the [censored]ing contest between MGM and Scifi from everything i have read. MGM wanted season 11 of SG-1 Scifia dn the crew of SG-1 were done with it. so MGM got [censored]y and cancelled SGA in retaliation. (kinda like Paramount cancelling Voyager because it was syndicated adnn they wanted the only star trek show on the UPN network
