PLEASE revive the previous two series....
at least this ensures the SGU will have a good initial viewership, as all the fans like me that have been lusting after anything Stargate for a long time now will definitely catch the show....
i just hpoe that they do as good a job with SGU as they did with SG-1 and SGA.
its shocking that sg-1 had 10 seasons and atlantis only had 5 even though in my opinion it was better.
When......Wheeen!!??? i want to see this movie now!!.....
I don't think we will get SGA back as a series but as I said I haven't given up just as yet..
I do want to know though what do the networks and studios need to bring it back as a show. I have heard few reasons why they canceled but I do not believe cancellation is a remedy for it when there are so many viewers who want it back.
I think SGA is about a fresh start; and I want it to have one of it's own again

it actually had nothing to do with the writers. The guilty parties are MGM (who own the franchise rights) and scifi (who pay for those rights). What happened was MGM saw how much better both serries were doing and decided to hike the rates they were charging scifi, scifi refused. In all honesty MGM did the right thing, the problem is the execs at scifi dont like to produce expensive shows, they want low budge. thats why unfortuanately both sg-1 and atlantis were cancelled. SGU will likely face the same fate if it ever becomes commercially succesful.
its unfortunate but the truth.
This is a prime example of the writers and producers getting bored or writers block with SGA and deciding to have some fun with a new show. I think the only way they will learn will be for SGU to bomb and get cancelled after 1-2 seasons.
But with that said, i love the SG franchise and i would be saddened to see it damaged in any way, so i am hoping that SGU will be good (and it has one of my favourite actors in a main role so that's great).
Moral of the story: Put writers, networks and producers in their places. We buy their merchandise, we watch their shows, we collect the box sets and without us they are nothing. So sit up and start taking notes on what the fans want and stop massaging your ego.
RIP SGA, probably one of the top three Sci Fi shows of the decade.
it sucks how its ending they should keep going on it aswell as Sg1.
I really dont think that stargate universe is gonna be as good.
