Torri Higginson - Dr. Elizabeth Weir

Torri Higginson will no longer play in Stargate Atlantis. She rejected contract for Stargate Atlantis Season 5.

I am very sorry but Dr. Elizabeth Weir character will disappear from Atlantis.

Jewel Staite - Dr. Jennifer Keller

Dr. Jennifer Keller will be a main cast member in Stargate Atlantis Season Five. This is a great news.

Leela Savasta - Captain Alicia Vega

Captain Alicia Vega will be a new member in Stargate Atlantis Season 5.

We have seen Leela Savasta in episode Tao of Rodney.

You can know her from Battlestar Galactica as Tracey Anne or Shawna Taylor in Bionic Woman.

Robert Picardo - Richard Woolsey

Richard Woolsey will play the new Atlantis commander in Stargate Atlantis Season 5.

Michael Shanks - Dr. Daniel Jackson

Michael Shanks will play in first two episodes.

Paul McGillion - Dr. Carson Beckett

Carson Beckett is confirmed for five SGA Season 5 episodes.

In comparison, SG-1 only suffered this briefly after the 6th season. Ever since season 3 everyone seems to be crazy (SciFi & producers).

Frankly and very SADLY, I\'d be very surprised to see a season 6; Unless, everyone really puts forth the effort and true desire (SciFi \"push & desire,\" acting, and storylines. And what the hell is with SciFi \"pushing\" ECW and Ghost Hunters on SciFi??!!

BTW - Woolsey\'s character doesn\'t have the strength of decisiveness to head Atlantis. He\'d have to change sooo much he\'d lose the \"wimpy squally\" persona.
